I already finished my first semester of college learning the history of art. Now I'm in my second semester learning more about art history during the renaissance era. What we are learning now in class is "what is art?" It's a question that has been asked for centuries, and is still asked today. From my perspective of what I've learned so far is art is not just a creative skill just by picking up a pencil or a tool of some kind. It's either by the imagination or the idealism of an individual trying to express how they feel or what they are thinking about in reality such as politics, or religion, or an important event. It's very powerful for an artist to be gifted with. Some would consider it a talent, or a curse. They would do anything to bring their own minds to life. So this brings up my excitement of what artists' I will learn about next.
